Purchased less than 3 years stopped working. Could not find any service provider in my area that would touch this product. LG has been no help and have to wait 2 weeks to get someone to come out. So if you dont mind waiting 2 weeks without a refrigerator I guess good luck. Theres a reason nobody wants to repair one you can figure it out. Customer service says sorry nothing we can do just live without it till we can get someone out. Never again will I buy one. I only wish I could give it a 0 rating

Doesnt last long cant clean the coils

This refrigerator did not last long for my family less than five years. The compressor went out yesterday and I lost a fridge full of food. Being able to clean the compressor coils would have possibly prevented this fridges demise but the consumer cant access the coils. Fixing it would cost almost as much as buying a new fridge and replacing the compressor requires welding. This is planned obsolescence at its finest.

No Water Filter To The Ice Maker

WARNING there is no water filter on this model to the ice maker. If you have hard water like ours and want your water filtered to the ice maker you have to install one on your own. More expense so you might want to order another model. Apparently this model is the only one in the universe that does not filter the water to the ice maker. Disappointed

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR US CONSUMERS

I have the same issue with call center today. They do not help us America Consumers. They just kick the question around from Television to to Microwave department and finally i got to Refrigerator department they said they can not do anything about it then round my call to someone like she working in the jungle which phone call voice on and off like she is on the MIA mission for military. i purchase the unit today from LG.COM have the update check to get the free hauling service but the delivery team said there is no instruction on the invoice. That is ridiculous. I bought so many product from Costco and Bestbuy online and have no problem in term of service and repare service. STOP ORDER FROM LG AS THEY DONT HELP CUSTOMER AT ALL. ALL THEY DO IS SENDING YOU SOME INFO AND BOUNCE YOU AROUND..... DONT WAIST MONEY WITH LG. START CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT AS FAST AS POSSIBLE.

LG: The True Meaning of Lousy Garbage

The incompetence with LG is absolutely unreal and has cost me more than just timeits hit my wallet hard. They sent the compressor to one service company without giving them the labor ticket to install it. Then another company showed up earlier that daybefore the compressor was even deliveredand neither company had the proper work order to get the job done. To top it off I literally had the repair guy they gave the compressor to standing in my kitchen ready to work. The call center claimed they couldnt reach the service company to discuss labor rates and Im standing there like the guy is right here All they had to do was send him a letter of approval but they still wouldnt do it. Thats how incompetent their call center iscompletely incapable of solving the simplest problem. Meanwhile this nightmare has cost me dearly. I had to buy a deep freezer and a mini refrigerator just to keep food cold. Ive lost $400 worth of groceries right before Christmas because my two-year-old fridge which I bought in 2022 decided to quit. On top of that Ive endured the stress and aggravation of this mess while losing valuable time from work15 hours of a steamfitters wage gone. And what do I have to show for it? A broken fridge a compressor sitting in my pantry and LGs call center trying to tell me whats happening in my own house. At this point I just want my refrigerator fixed or replaced but LG seems more focused on making their customers lives miserable.

NOISY STARTUP CREATES UNEASE

This refrigerator cools like a champ. It is disconcertingly noisy however. When it cycles on periodically it starts up with annoyingly loud clicking and buzzing sounds. After calling LG to voice my concerns I was connected to a call center in the Phillipines. They told me new refrigerators routinely make noise and that the sounds should get quieter over time. I believe thats a bunch of crap. Its now been a month and the refrigerator seems to keep getting louder. Most all of the refrigerators Ive ever been around could barely be heard when they periodically click on.

Horrible service

Ice maker failed. Called LG. THEY required a $399 pre-payment. An idiot shows up shakes his head and leaves. After a BATTLE I got some money back but not the $125 service call. LOL. AVOID LG AT ALL COSTS.

I didnt think it was customary to not have a functioning refrigerator after a few years on a new purchase. Sure theres a warranty on parts but then a service tech charges so much to make the repairs. Compressor only lasted 3 years.

I bought this refrigerator two weeks ago. The freezer showed frost after the first day. We discovered the freezer drawer would not close completely. I called the help line and spoke to an agent who had me check out several things. After nothing helped he told me it was an installation issue and directed me to call Home Depot. Home Depot was extremely helpful and contacted LG to arrange for a replacement. Replacement is scheduled for 12-26. The freezer drawer on the display at Home Depot has a definite latch feel when the drawer is closed. Very disappointed with LG. Very pleases with Home Depot. Hope the second fridge works. We do like the refrigerator features and it is very quiet

Purchased in 2020. I spoke to cust. service we did some trouble shooting. Consenus was I needed a compressor. I was on extended warranty. The item was ordered and a tech was scheduled to install. It took about a week but everything is working fantastic. Very happy with the outcome Thank you LG

Bought because I needed a 30 width and wanted a bottom freezer. It developed an annoying hum/rattling noise after the first day but it disappeared after about 4 days. Otherwise has been quiet and I love the depth flexible shelving and the spacious freezer. Only 2 quibbles: the lights are in the front of the fridge and freezer which makes it hard to see things in the dark back parts. Also it needs about 15 on each side for the doors to open all the way so is not ideal to be placed next to a wall. The deli tray wont slide all the way out if both doors arent fully open. I knew this and chose it anyway but buyer beware as some of the photos may give you a different impression.

I purchased my refrigerator/freezer in 2020.A few weeks ago I noticed it was defrosting. Called cust. svc.I was asked to check the digital displays and try some trouble shooting. The rep Scheduled me with Frontier Tech. A compressor was ordered and shipped directly to me. Communication was a little difficult with the service tech but in the end the job was completed. So happy I was on the extended warranty and glad to have my refrigerator/freezer back. Thanks LG

Purchased August 2018 and unfortunately just had to replace it. Freezer stopped working LG service sent a new compressor November 2024 however repairman sad the compressor still didnt fix it and recommended the fridge be scrapped.

I bought the refrigerator in July. Its November and its already broken. The freezer has layers of ice on it. I called customer service and they basically kept implying that it was my fault and Id have to pay for repair. i finally got a text to come and he said that it was a default in the fridge. Ive been. Waiting over two weeks for the part to come in. I think its repaired for free but its my last LG.

No Compressor Lawsuit Reimbursement

On approximately Oct. 1 2024 my LG refrigerator failed cooling both the refrigerator and freezer sections. I called LG Support for scheduling a technician home repair service but couldnt receive a repair appointment before October 12th. LG Support stated that a non-refundable non-warranty labor repair charge of $458 would be held on a submitted credit card in order to schedule a repair appointment LG Support stated labor charges werent covered after 5 years. Upon arrival on Oct. 12th Reginald Martin the LG Repair Technician discovered that LG had sent the incorrect replacement compressor. Reginald Martin returned on Oct. 17th when the correct replacement compressor had arrived. LG repairman Mr. Martin stated I should receive full reimbursement as my compressor/refrigerator serial numbers qualified for full labor and repair costs within a LG defective compressor/ refrigerator lawsuit. I was unaware of this class action lawsuit and ongoing lawsuits involving defective compressors. In addition I was never informed by LG by any form of communication of an extant lawsuit. Moreover since I had lost all refrigerator and freezer food I told by Mr. Martin I was entitled to a discounted lost food recovery fee that would be applied to the cost of future food replacement. My credit card was debited $422.93 on October 17th 2024

The French door feature and my refrigerator gives me so much room. I love that I can buy a lot of groceries and have enough room for them. The freezer is on the bottom and it also has tons of room for my frozen products. I got the stainless steel no print feature and I love it.

Fridge stopped working after two weeks freezer was okay. Fine. These things happen I guess. But the customer service experience has been absolutely dreadful. Five visits by the contracted appliance service with two different technicians determining the unit was irreparable and mentioned Im not the only person with this exact same problem. But LG keeps saying they didnt receive the documentation for their engineering department to provide an approval code for a claim. I was standing there when the technician called them Last time I called LG the agent said all she could do was schedule another service request which she did and it was sent to the same repair service that had already told them twice it couldnt be fixed I thought I was losing my mind. I pleaded for her to do something anything to try and get the documentation from the appliance service to the engineering department since thats where the breakdown of their process was happening but she refused to make any other effort except message her Support Team. So many times I was assured Id be contacted after 24-48 hours. Forget the time expectation no one followed up ever. After three months of desperation we might finally be getting somewhere after a call from a Presidential Liaison who is giving me the option to replace the unit with another one thatll fail in two weeks. As if I want another LG anything in my house Refund please Also if youre a robot who scans 1-star reviews to tell customers youre sorry for the inconvenience and youre looking forward to helping them go unplug yourself.

I brought my LG French door refrigerator and 2019 And I was so happy I thought it was one of the best things ever until recently. When it just went out I was a little dumbfounded at first but I called the company set me up an appointment came by and fixed it so hopefully itll last a little longer. Seems like the thrill is gone but it works.

Received a fridge that didnt have all the parts. One month later and I had to repair the fridge myself with no help from LG other than sending me the missing part. Now they wont provide any food loss reimbursement because my issue doesnt quality. A brand new broken fridge whether its because they missed a part or the compressor is broken is still a broken fridge and I should be compensated for having to live without one for a MONTH.
